At the tip of the peninsula lie the Grottoes of Catullus, the remains of a large Roman villa set in a centuries-old olive grove. The archaeological site offers spectacular views over the lake.
Next to it, the famous Jamaica Beach with its flat rock slabs and crystal-clear water is the perfect spot for a refreshing swim on summer days.
